Shot blasting is method of cleaning carried out to not only remove unwanted surface coatings, such as rust, paint, and scale that effect future coatings or treatments, Shot blasting also provides a means of preventing metal fatigue or cracking along with surface conditioning or hardening.
There are various methods shot blasting is undertaken of which R&R Shot blasting offer the vast majority of methods, including automatic and manual means all on site here.
Common items we blast are everything from garden gates and railings to car chassis and structural steel beams.
So here at R&R we are fortune that are able to blast very large items very quickly due our very large heavy duty blast room, it is currently 7.5 meters Long x 4 meters High x 5 meters Wide.
Yes we can assist with everything from One off requirements for a set garden furniture, to large scale heavy goods requiring hi-ab lifting services.
Yes we offer powder coating in house here, we hold lots of different RAL colours in stock, so we can general offer a very quick turn around with high quality results.
We can actually blast lots of different materials here at R&R given our extensive experience and equipment. We blast lots of very large cast iron items in our manual blast room upto 5 tonnes in weigh through to very small aluminium parts for the automotive industry in our aluminium oxide and bead blasting cabinets. We also blast lots of wooden items via our specialist process again on site here.
So certainly there are lots of different typers of materials we can and do blast on site here, however there are materials dependent on softness that are not suitable for blasting. Luckily we have a extremely knowledgeable team on site here to assist further if you contact us.
